Privacy for field data, scans, photos, and estimates.
Effective June 2, 2026. BluMatrix is operated by Blue Collar Pro. This policy covers the BluMatrix apps for iPhone, iPad and Android and the BluMatrix website. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about your data.
Information we collect
When you use BluMatrix, we collect account information such as your name, email address, phone number, sign-in details (including sign-in with Apple or Google), business profile details such as your business name, logo, and contact details, and settings you choose.
We collect the content you create or upload, including LiDAR scans and their files, floor plans and room names, roof measurements and EagleView roof reports, photos and photo notes, photo reports, project descriptions and addresses, clients and contacts you enter, estimates and the estimates you send, approvals, signatures and change requests, Assistant conversations, and attached PDFs or images.
With your permission, we use your device’s location to fill in a property address, look up roof measurements for an address you are working on, and orient floor plans. Location is used only for these features while you use them. You can allow or turn off location anytime in your phone’s settings or your browser, and BluMatrix works without it.
We also collect operational information such as device identifiers and push notification tokens, browser notification subscriptions, app version, request logs, IP address, crash reports and diagnostic events, how the app and website are used, and payment and purchase records.
Analytics and session recordings
We use analytics to understand how BluMatrix is used, and we record sessions in the app and on the website (the screens, taps, and pages) to find and fix problems. Text you type is masked, and photos and images are hidden, in these recordings.
Payments and subscriptions
On iPhone and iPad, purchases go through Apple In-App Purchase, and on Android through Google Play. The store processes the payment and keeps your payment details; we receive only the records needed to know which plan is active and what you bought. On the BluMatrix website, card payments are processed by Stripe: Stripe receives your card and billing details, and we receive the payment record, such as the plan, amount, status, and billing email. We never receive or store your full card number.
Advertising measurement
We advertise BluMatrix on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure those ads, the apps and the website tell Meta when someone installs the app, creates an account, starts a trial, or buys something. These reports can include your email address and account ID in hashed form, the purchase amount, and, on the website, Meta’s browser cookies, your browser’s user agent, and, when you create an account, your IP address.
How we use information
We use your information to provide BluMatrix, sync your work across your devices and your team, generate floor plans, reports, and estimates, order the EagleView roof reports you buy, deliver the estimates and signing links you send, send the notifications and emails you ask for, process purchases, measure our advertising, fix problems and improve reliability, protect accounts, and answer support requests.
AI processing
BluMatrix uses AI services to read and label photos, write photo reports, summarize field notes, draft estimate scopes, edit estimates when you ask, and answer questions in the Assistant. When you use these features, the relevant project text, photos, reports, or attachments are sent to AI model providers that process the data on our behalf to return the result.
Service providers
We use these providers to run BluMatrix, and they process data only to provide their service to us. Clerk handles sign-in and account security. Amazon Web Services hosts BluMatrix, stores its files, and sends email and text messages. Apple and Google handle App Store and Google Play purchases and push notifications. Stripe handles card payments on the website. EagleView receives the property address for the roof reports you buy. Google Maps Platform provides address search, maps, and roof data. OpenRouter and Google provide the AI models. PostHog provides analytics and session recordings. Sentry receives crash and error reports. Meta receives the advertising reports described above.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data when you ask us to: when you send an estimate or report, share a link, invite team members, buy an EagleView roof report, or ask for support. Members of a team workspace can see that workspace’s projects. We also share data with the providers above to run the service, with Meta as described in Advertising measurement, and when needed to prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect rights and safety.
Clients you send estimates to
When you send an estimate, BluMatrix stores your client’s name, email address, phone number, and the property address you entered, and sends them the estimate by email or text message. When a client opens, approves, signs, or asks for changes to an estimate, we record what they did, when, and the IP address and device or browser used. A signature is kept with the signer’s name and the code check that confirmed it, as part of the estimate’s record.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and project data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, maintain billing and audit records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and preserve security. You can delete your account in the app or on the website. Account deletion removes account-linked app data according to the deletion flow and our operational retention needs. Records of signed estimates, purchases, and payments may be kept as long as billing, tax, and legal records require.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards such as authenticated access, encrypted transport, protected storage, and scoped cloud object access. No system is perfect, but we work to keep contractor, client, scan, photo, and estimate data protected.
Your choices
You can manage camera, photos, location, and notification permissions in your phone’s settings, and location and notifications for the website in your browser. You can edit or delete projects and account data inside BluMatrix, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Children
BluMatrix is intended for contractors and business users. It is not directed to children.
Changes
We may update this policy as BluMatrix changes. When we do, we will update the effective date and keep the policy publicly available.
